Carolinas CannaBusiness Conference

North Carolina has spoken up to legalize medical cannabis. According to a SurveyUSA News Poll (#26290) published in April 2022, 72% of residents in North Carolina support compassionate care. And the legalization of medical cannabis.

How Many Licenses Will Be Granted?

If medical cannabis is legalized in North Carolina, how many licenses will be available for medical dispensaries?  The Department of Health and Human Services advisory committee will issue ten (10) licenses to business owners.

Each North Carolina medical cannabis business license will allow four (4) dispensaries to be opened.  That means forty (40) to serve patients across the state.  And licensees will be required to open at least one dispensary in a Tier 1 county.
